Our solar water heaters are suitable for open flow configuration. It could also be used as closed loop, supplying heat via a heat exchanger, but a circulation pump would be required as mains pressure pre-heated water is required, the HE-C solar collector may be a better choice.
A circulation pump is not normally required.
The only reason you would need a pump is if:
1. The mains cold head pressure is insufficient for the cold water to reach the solar water heater or feed tank a small pump controlled by a water level switch in the feed tank can solve the problem.
2. The height from the solar water heater to the hot water tap is not enough to provide pressure hot water. In this case a small pressure pump with built in flow switch on the hot line would provide higher pressure hot water(may need a thermostatic mixing valve prior to pump as some pumps cannot handle temperatures above 60。C).
3. The system was used in a closed loop-see the section above.

Freezing is a concern for any solar water heater, but with our system, mild sub-zero temperature is not a major problem. The solar tubes are very well insulated (vacuum), as is the tank (5 polyurethane). Furthermore, the tank is full of warm or hot water. It would take several days of weather day and night to freeze the water. Also ice floats and so would not form in the evacuation tube, but on the surface of the water in the tank.
As long as there is some sunlight during the day, the water temperature would increase and preventing freezing at night. If you have sub-zero temperatures day and night and virtual sunshine, then it might be necessary to empty the system of water (including the water in tubes) for such periods each year. Glycol can be used in the system to prevent freezing, but such the system could have to be a closed circulation loop. In such case it would be better to use the sun power solar water heater.
The advantage of solar tubes is that they insulate the inner tube form heat loss. This means once heat is absorbed, it is transferred to the water in the manifold, and not lost to the out environment. Because the water is in direct contact with the inner glass tube the heat transfers very well. The performance of the tube itself can reach 80%, but because of the heat losses of the tank, the total system efficiency is around 70-75%(depends on ambient temperatures)
The tank outer casing of the hongle solar water heater is 304 stainless steels, which provide long-term corrosion resistance. The surface is matt, to prevent excessive reflection, providing attractive finish. The tank diameter is only 470mm,so is not too large when installed on the frame. The frame is made of anodized aluminium, which is strong, attractive and corrosion resistant.
Corrosion is a consideration for any system that involves water and high temperatures. In environments, heavily chlorinated water can become a strong corrosive agent. We all know that salty water is also corrosive. In order to provide maximum corrosion resistance, the high grade 304-2B stainless steels. The use of an optional magnesium sacrificial anode will greatly prolong the life of the collector by protecting against corrosion. The anode may be changed every 2-3 years (depending on water quality) to provide continued protection. The frame if made of anodized aluminum, which is strong, attractive and corrosion resistant.
Scale is an issue in many areas, as it gradually blocks up plumbing and hot water systems. Because of the high temperatures that occur within the evacuated tubes, scale formation will be finished. Fortunately scale will not disable the system, but can result in a gradual decrease in heater capacity, as the tubes will slowly fill up with scale.
In order to combat scale you may:
1. Use electric or magnetic water –softener on you plumbing line.
2. Usesolar collector in combination with a water softener.
3. Empty the tubes of scale once every 2-3 years.
The solar water heater is virtually maintenance free. If the tubes are very dirty they may be washed with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, or blasted with high-pressure water. Upon normal use no other maintenance is required.
If a tube should ever be broken it will only take a few minutes to replace.



Specifications
Our solar water heater are divided into two size categories, A and B. A uses 1.5m long evacuated tube, which is suitable for areas with high insolation levels (annual average of >4.5kWh/m2/day), or for areas where hot water can not be used everyday uses 1.8m long tubes and is for areas with lower insolation levels. It is not advised to install a B model in areas with high insolation levels, unless hot water is used frequently throughout the day for more than one day in strong sunlight the water will boil, resulting is wasted energy and evaporated water

    Introduction of Stand Alone Model with Coil Exchanger (SAM-C)


This type of SWH provides mains pressure via a high effective copper coil heat exchanger (40 meters long) located in the tank. When water flows through the coil, it absorbs heat from the tank. When people turn on the tap, there is immediately hot water and the water people use is so clean because people use the water directly from the tap, not from the tank. The way its collector heats the water in the tank is the same as the common non pressured one.

Introduction of Stand Alone Model with Heat Pipe (SAM-HP)

Heat pipe series are all-glass evacuated common systems combined with heat pipes inside the glass tube. The liquid in the heat pipe changes into vapour which rises to the condenser. There is no water in the vacuum tubes, so there will be no water leavings in tube at all ,which avoids clean work and can't lower the heat efficiency after years of use. Even in cold winter it can't be frozen. This type is high pressured one.

Note:
1. This model use copper heat pipe inside the vacuum glass tube.
2. There is no water in the tube, glycol circulate inside the copper heat pipe.
3. Inner tank thickness is 1.2mm , outer tank thickness is 0.4mm.
4. Outer tank is made of galvanization or color steel plate.
